⛳ What Makes Great Tee Art?

At ArtParTee, we transform your favourite snapshots into vibrant mosaics made from thousands of colourful golf tees. But here's the trick: the best results come from bold, simple images that translate well into blocky, pixel-style art.

🛠️ DIY Kits (50 Tees Square)

Our DIY kits are 50 tees wide by 50 tees high — that's just 2,500tees (or pixels) to capture your image. That means detail is limited, and simplicity is everything.

✅ Best for:

• A close-up of one person's face

• A single pet on a plain background

• A bold shape or symbol (like a golf ball or logo)

🚫 Avoid:

• Group photos or team pictures

• Scenic shots like golf greens or landscapes

• Subjects that blend into their background

• Anything with too much fine detail

💡 Pro Tip: Use our cropping tool to zoom in on the most important part of your photo. A full family photo won't work — but a close-up of one smiling face might be perfect.

🎨 Commissions (64 Tees Wide and Up)

Our commissioned pieces start at 64 tees wide and can scale much taller. With 4× the resolution of a DIY kit, you can capture far more detail, but the same rules still apply:

✅ Great for:

• Portraits of one or two people

• Action shots like a golf swing

• Club logos, pets, or bold shapes

🚫 Still challenging:

• Busy, detailed backgrounds

• Group shots with many faces

• Low-contrast or blurry images

🔍 Image Selection Tips

DO:

• Choose bold subjects with clear outlines

• Crop in tightly to focus on the key part

• Pick images with good contrast (light subject, dark background or vice versa)

DON'T:

• Use full-scene photos like golf courses

• Include more than one or two subjects in a small piece

• Use dark, shadowy or cluttered photos

👀 Quick test: If you squint at your image and it still looks recognisable, it'll probably work well as tee art.
